HOW DID PIPS FARM COME TO BE?

It all starts with a dream...

The journey of Pips Farm began in a two bedroom apartment in the River District of Vancouver, where two inspired working professionals had a dream of being more self-sufficient, growing their own food, raising chickens and goats, and growing a dynamic homestead that they could eventually retire on.
Adam W is a VFX Editor and Coordinator who spent 8 Seasons on the television series Supernatural, and then worked for various VFX vendors on hit television shows such as Ozark, The Last Of Us, Moon knight, Flash, Sweet Tooth, and many others. Adam has a passion for botany, plant and animal genetics, chemistry, and loves pickled eggs.
Lucy Schneider is the Director of Operations at a paint standards company and moved from England in order to make a new life in Canada. Lucy is passionate about utilizing anti-inflammatory and immune-friendly foods in recipes, has mastered sourdough and preserves, and loves to share and inspire others towards a healthy lifestyle.
Together, Adam and Lucy became the Hopeful Homesteaders. And this is their story.
Misfortune brought them to Abbotsford, in order to be closer to the Cancer Clinic where Adam's mother was being treated. After a big move, the film industry going on strike, and eventually grievous personal loss, the two decided it was time to fix their eyes on enough land to carve out their dream - but not being able to buy land in Abbotsford, they found a quaint two-acre rental and started to build.
Fast forwarding to today, Adam and Lucy are now "Pips Farm". Pips Farm has four goats, four Jacob sheep, multiple breeds of chickens isolated into their own pens for pure breeding, turkeys, geese, a wonderful livestock guardian, and the business and media knowledge it takes to run a successful farming and hatchery enterprise.
