Research Track 6 currently has 30 projects outlined in our roadmap. Some examples include:
CBTP131 - Cost of Production Benchmarking

Establish detailed cost-of-production benchmarks for Canadian Bronze turkeys under pasture-based, heritage systems.

CBTP135 - Direct-to-Consumer Pricing Models

Evaluate pricing strategies for whole birds, cuts, and value-added products.

CBTP141 - Regulatory Compliance Burdens

Analyze regulatory requirements and their impacts on small heritage producers.

CBTP200 - Long-Term Conservation Economics

Model the long-term financial sustainability of Canadian Bronze turkey conservation under multiple production and market scenarios.

Deliverables:

Cost-of-production figures, market positioning evidence, policy recommendations, and finance models to de-risk adoption. How it’s used: converts biological conservation into sustainable economics and fundable, policy-ready arguments.
